To celebrate one year in downtown St. Pete, Pour Taproom will give away half-off bar tabs to guests. The anniversary discount — available from noon to 1 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 — is valid on the 85 taps featured at the self-serve craft beer and wine bar, which opened around this time in 2017.
The first 500 people to arrive score a complimentary koozie, and other festivities include raffles with prizes.
“St. Pete is such a collaborative city and we received the warmest welcome this year,” owner Ravi Murjani said in a statement. “We’ve had the privilege of working in tandem with the craft beer community to showcase their beers, and look forward to many more years with partners like Escape Brewing Company, Pinellas Ale Works, and patrons alike.”
Originally slated to partner with 2nd & Second on a dedicated menu of eats, Pour now offers grub from its permanent restaurant-on-wheels. The food truck does bar bites like sandwiches, wings and the popular soft pretzel, served with house-made beer cheese.
About 36 percent of the bar’s taps are driven by local — as in brewed in Florida — beer. Murjani aims to transform that figure into 50 percent by early next year.
“Apart from our beer selection, our team of ‘beertenders’ are really what keep people coming back and we couldn’t be more grateful to them,” said director of operations Tanner Moody. “Being greeted by the same faces day after day makes a huge difference in a city like St. Pete, where there is such an emphasis on loving local.”
