Just a year after opening Bodega on Central, George and Debbie Sayegh are expanding the business to the adjacent building at 1114Central Avenue (formerly home to Creative Clay).
"We're finally going to be able to provide some inside seating for Bodega which is nice," owner George Sayegh.
As for Bodega at 1120 Central Ave., Sayegh says there are "no changes there. It will be business as usual next door."
The biggest change, aside from indoor seating, will be an expansion of their housemade soda frescas.
"We're going to expand the whole idea of soda frescas into a juice bar with a latin flair," Sayegh said. That means more fresh fruit juice varities including a tropical cane juice machine.
The juice bar and seating will account for about "half of the new space." They are still planning out uses for the rest of the space (nothing to report yet).
As for an opening date on the space, Sayegh says they are "still in the construction phase, it's just a matter of getting it done right now."
