The best reason to drink in the morning is back—and it’s headed across the bridge to downtown St.Pete’s Mahaffey Theater in 2022. Creative Loafing Tampa Bay’s Brunched takes place on Saturday, Feb. 19, complete with unlimited food samples, a bloody mary competition and a beautiful waterfront view.

Brunched lets  breakfast-lovers  sample unlimited small bites from some of the best restaurants in Tampa Bay. And although there’s no official lineup yet, there’s a good chance that 2022’s event will feature some of the concepts that served previous Brunched parties, like Anchor and Brine, Bulla, American Social, Luv Child, Maple Street Biscuit Company, Park & Rec , Shuffle, 7th + Grove and many more.

Brunched 2022 will also feature a bloody mary competition where guests can vote on the best and bloodiest mary in Tampa Bay. A few businesses that competed in 2020’s contest were Datz, Dr. BBQ, Ella’s Americana Folk Art Cafe, Shuffle Tampa and Park & Rec—but Tampa’s Shuffle was crowned winner of the bloody mary battle.

There are two tiers of pre-sale tickets that are currently available: the general admission ticket runs for $25 while the VIP ticket costs $55 and gets you three complimentary drinks, entry into a VIP-only raffle and exclusive gifts. The entire event runs from 1 p.m.-3 p.m., but VIP ticket holders will get into Brunched an hour early.

These discounted pre-sale tickets are on sale until Jan. 6, or until they sell out.

There will also be CDC-recommended protocols in place throughout the event, as all vendors and staff will be wearing masks and gloves.

For more information as the event inches closer, visit the Brunched 2022 website . A portion of proceeds benefits Current Initiatives of Tampa Bay, a Florida-based nonprofit that gets people involved in social justice endeavors.
