There are plenty of online debates on who has the best fries from McDonald’s to the local mom-and-pop spot. The St. Petersburg French Fry Festival, dedicated to one of the ultimate comfort foods, is back officially this Saturday. The festival was scheduled to happen in March but non-profit Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association let fans know the event was postponed.
“We are heartbroken we have to wait that long for amazing, delicious fries but it'll sure be worth it!,” they wrote on Facebook.
I Love the Burg said the festival features “French fry-specific” dishes from 20 food trucks plus a craft beer and wine booth for the grown-ups. Admission is free and pets are welcome. Festivities begin at 3 p.m.-10 p.m. at Albert Whitted Airport at 480 Bayshore Dr. NE.
