From 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, the Tampa-based Sweetwater Organic Community Farm will celebrate its Community Supported Agriculture pick-up partnership with St. Petersburg's Green Bench Brewing Co. through a launch party.
Sweetwater began another St. Pete CSA pickup at The Body Electric Yoga Company last year. However, the yoga company is no longer a pick-up site.
In an email to CL, the farm's program director Kaitlin Hennessy said the Green Bench collaboration is different in that the pickups will be offered for a full season.
During the launch party, the brewery will offer its standard spread of beer-garden games and $1 off farmhouse ales.
Those who aren't a part of the farm's CSA program may become members throughout the evening, too. Hennessy said payment plans may be arranged until Oct. 31.
Members will collect their weekly veggie shares at the brewery from 4 to 6:30 every Friday.
