Now more than ever, local charities need help dealing with the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
Tampa Bay chain Taco Bus has partnered with Liberty Manor for Veterans —a local nonprofit that helps provide stability for homeless veterans—to deliver meals to five of the nonprofit’s locations.
Over the next four weeks, the company will deliver tacos, chips, salsa, and water to over 50 veterans to help relieve some of the stress surrounding coronavirus, Taco Bus said in a press release.
“The need to serve the underserved and give back to the community who has been so good to us has never been greater,” said Heather Chaudhry, Director of Marketing for Taco Bus.
Liberty Manor was established in 2006, to help homeless, disabled, honorably discharged veterans by providing transitional, supportive housing and long-term goals to teach self-sufficiency.
