After some testing in the market, Burger King is ready to launch its vegan Impossible Whopper nationwide on Thursday, August 8.

Jose Cil, Burger King’s brand CEO, explained the launch during an interview with CNBC, addressing that the BK franchise wanted to make sure to continue to let guests “have it their way” by following the trends and listening to the needs of their guests who are looking for an alternative to beef on the menu.

Cil promised that the Impossible Whopper will still pack the same flavor and build as the original recipe which was crafted in 1957, just with an alternative patty by Impossible Foods.

For a limited time, you can slide through the drive-thru and get the plant-based burger on the go.

But we assume it'll stick around for good with the recent boom in popularity of vegan eats, especially in Tampa Bay.

As well as being available on-site at the chain restaurants, BK will offer up a limited-time taste test box beginning next week through DoorDash and the BK app in which customers can get an original beef Whopper and an Impossible Whopper for just $7 delivered to their door.

Two Whoppers for $7? Vegan or not, it's worth a try.
