Wednesday, August 18: Slow Food Tampa Bay General Membership Meeting at HCC
Slow Food Tampa Bay will hold its first general membership meeting for all members and those who are considering membership. Issues discussed will be the goals for the organization, setting priorities for future projects and events, and getting acquainted with fellow Slow Foodies. This is also a pot luck, so each guest is asked to bring a dish to share, a non-alcoholic beverage, and their own dishes and utensils (to reduce waste). 6:30-8:30 p.m. Hillsborough Community College, Tampa Main Campus Cafeteria- 4001 W. Thursday, August 19: The NoHo Bistro
Beer and BBQ Cooking Class. Enter in this BBQ University and get hands-on experience making sauces, rubs, and marinades for your 'cue, preparing a four-course meal that you'll also get to eat. The lesson will also educate students on pairing beers with each course. The four-course menu will include all recipes for the guest to take home, beer pairings and dinner that evening.
