There's nothing better than a cold beer on a cool October night — unless it's served in a refillable souvenir sampling cup by an assortment of local and international beer retailers, and all at one convenient location. Creative Loafing's third annual International BeerFest spotlights a range of brews — Mad Bavarian Pilsner, Key West Sunset Ale, Pumpkinhead Ale and Seadog Blueberry Wheat to name a few, not to mention the occasional alcoholic (non-beer) alternative, like Kelly's Traditional Irish Hard Cider. The fest has been moved to Ybor City's charming Centennial Park and in addition to the beer tasting, attendees enjoy interactive games, various tasty eats, and live music by Champion Sun and Weaksauce. A portion of proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. For more info or to reserve tickets, visit tampa.creativeloafing.com/beerfest. Sat., Oct. 20, 7-11 p.m., Eighth Avenue and 18th Street, Ybor City, $20 in advance/$25 day of/$50 V.I.P. (includes access to the V.I.P. beer garden, two complimentary beverages and cash bar access); 21 and up only.
