Members of the Tampa Bay Whiskey Society will join Four Roses Bourbon, based in Kentucky, at Tampa's Cigar Castle for a bourbon lecture and private barrel-selection event at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25.
While the public isn't permitted to participate in the tasting or barrel selection, they're invited to sit in on the lecture, where a Four Roses brand ambassador will take guests through bourbon exploration.
The ambassador will discuss the distilling, aging and bottling process of America's distinctive spirit, as well as the drink's history and Four Roses' roots in the whiskey industry. Guests will also learn what goes into purchasing a barrel of bourbon.
There's no cost to attend the lecture.
And for bourbon fanatics still looking for Valentine's Day plans, the annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is set to pour 40 kinds of the stuff from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.
