As CL pointed out in our Music Issue two weeks ago, Independent Bar & Café in Seminole Heights has been hosting one of the Bay area’s longest-running monthly jazz series for the better part of a decade. There aren’t a lot of reasons to miss the free, outdoor event, and this week finds songwriter Hector Mayoral (on percussion), guitarist Joey Caamano, and pianist Alex Montalvo banding together under the Tres Palmas moniker to create lounge-ready Latin jazz.
