John Lamb toured the world with Duke Ellington and played on the jazz composer’s Grammy-winning 1966 album Far East Suite, so it makes perfect sense that the now Bay area-based bassist would be the star of this Monday Night Jazz Series concert that pays tribute to the Duke, who changed big band forever.
