We’ve said it before: Dunedin Brewery is a hotbed of creativity, and the energy starts with the staff. On Friday, My Weird Uncle—which is the brainchild of brewery VP Michael Lyn Bryant and chef Alex Sears, who teamed up with The Heavy Pets’ Jamie Newitt—shows off how a for-fun improv ensemble turned into one that doesn’t mind getting out of the house to play its downtempo mish-mash of hip-hop, drum and bass and jazz. Future Vintage’s Trevor McDannel and Tucker Sody sit in with Unc’ on bass and second drum kit, respectively, at this no-cover show.
