It’s the lineup that always looks familiar yet still manages to dazzle.
Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando (EDC) — set for November 9-10 at Tinker Field — dropped its 2018 lineup bill at noon today, and it sure is one to marvel at. While the poster stuck with its typical A to Z listing format, there are a few big names that jump out from the get-go.
Bassnectar is among the top billed acts in 2018 and is returning for the first time in two years. While his dusty sage-musked following is always an odd fit among the glitter and neon at Tinker Field, the producer born Lorin Ashton has played Orlando’s largest electronic festival several times and is known for performing entirely unique sets for each performance.
Among the other big names are legendary EDM act Kaskade — which also headlined in 2017 — and Tiesto, whose set is scheduled for an intriguing sunset slot.
Beyond that, this lineup offers plenty for fans across all sub-genres of EDM.

Review: After another successful run, EDC reminds us why festivals like it matter now more than ever
If you’re looking to get down to some heavier “wubs,” the top this lineup offers a neck-wrenching “back-to-back” set of Boogie T and Squnto, both of whom leveled crowds at SMF in May. Joining them is fellow SMF alumnus Space Jesus, as well as Belgium duo Ganja White Night, set to perform at The Ritz Ybor later this month. Martin Garrix (one of the most successful and clamored-for acts internationally), is set to make his return to Orlando, and clubby-house favorites Malaa and Tchami also join the bill.
The 2018 lineup also represents a new wave of electronic stars that have recently broken into the mainstream. Aussie star Alison Wonderland will make a rare Florida visit this fall, and so will trap prodigy Kayzo.
SMF-goers bummed about this year's canceled Sunday will even get another shot to see Denver-based act Illenium whose set at day two of SMF was rained out.
The EDC Orlando 2018 lineup even offers a mysterious “Dillon Francis & Friends” set. With Dillon's Mad Decent labelmate Valentino Khan already on the lineup, this is a set that promises to produce some fireworks.
There will of course be debate, as there is around any lineup announcement (“Where’s the trance bro!?”), but this lineup will bring a wide range of exciting new electronic palettes to Orlando in November.
Tickets start at $189 and are available here.
