Even before SCOTUS’ dismantling of Roe v Wade, last weekend’s St Pete Pride concert by Pussy Riot and Todrick Hall was already arriving at a momentous time.
So with the LGBTQ+ community under attack in Florida—and with the SCOTUS decision setting the stage for more assaults on womens and queer rights—St. Petersburg welcomed the revolutionary sound of Russian art-pop band Pussy Riot and unabashed flamboyance of Todrick Hall to Spa Beach for a rain-soaked Friday night concert that was as cathartic as it was empowering.
