Did you know that 1980s hitmaker and new wave hero Howard Jones is still going strong? Most Florida fans last saw him open for OMD and Barenaked Ladies in St. Augustine a couple of years ago, where our friends at Orlando Weekly say Jones was a dynamo onstage, but Tampa Bay also got a closer look when Jones played the Cuban Club in 2016.
Now, Tampa Bay '80s kids get to see Jones live and in person at a venue that's been flexing on the live music tip as of late.
Jones is touring behind upcoming album Transform, and tickets for a July 21 gig at Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill in St. Petersburg start at $24.50. Men Without Hats and All Hail The Silence open the show. More information is available via ticketfly.com.
