Pop country's best-selling female artist is playing a Tampa show in June 2018, but let's all be real here and admit that the CL crew is way more excited about this head-smacker of a show coming to St. Pete's Ringside Café.

UPDATE: Irma's gone and fucked with our friends up north, and now that bitch is taking away a show by Lydia Loveless, who cancelled her St. Pete show. The good news, shows in Orlando (and a killer free one in St. Augustine with Justin Townes Earle and David Dondero) are still on…for now. Refunds available at point of purchase.

UPDATE 2: The Facebook post below is like a cruel joke where any hope of seeing Loveless in Florida fades with every passing minute.

Yup, one of alt-country's best new artists, Lydia Loveless, is set to play that room next to Jannus Landing on September 14 in support of her latest LP, Real, and what a press is calling a "soon-to-be announced forthcoming project."

In case you've been living under, well, whatever people are living under these days, then know that Loveless, 26, is a Bloodshot Records signee whose sound is a rock and roll-tinged honky tonk that pays homage to Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline all while adding much needed grit and attitude to country music.

Watch this live session below to get a feel for what we're talking about. Tickets are just $12.50 and on sale now. More information is available at local.cltampa.com. Sorry Shania, we still love you, too.
