John Fogerty is two months away from turning the big 8-0, but considering his physical condition, his mighty-as-ever guitar work, and how he just now got his songs back after a decades-long legal fight, you would never guess that.

The Creedence Clearwater Revival icon, who played the 10th-ever concert at Clearwaterโ€™s BayCare Sound two summers ago, closes out the Florida Strawberry Festival on Sunday while keeping CCRโ€™s family aspect alive (donโ€™t you dare forget his late brother, Tom) by having his sons Tyler and Shane play backup in his travelinโ€™ band.

No telling if the boysโ€™ own band Hearty Har will play a warmup set before their dad hits the barn stage, but really, the only thing anyone should hope is that โ€œWhoโ€™ll Stop The Rainโ€ wonโ€™t be taken literally on Sunday, when the forecast calls for scattered thunderstorms. But on the other hand, it rained at Woodstock too, so what the hell?

That’s not all the starpower coming to Plant City this weekend either.

Break out the pimp juice because what would the Florida Strawberry Festival be without the mastermind behind Country Grammar? Born in Austin, Texas, and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Nelly rose to stardom with hits like โ€œRide Wit Me,โ€ โ€œGrillzโ€ and โ€œHot in Herre.โ€ The 50-year-old rapper and singer turns up the heat on Friday before Fogerty’s performance and takes the Strawberry Festival on a trip down memory lane as it wraps this weekend.

Tickets to the final weekend of concerts at Plant City’s Florida Strawberry Festival are still available.
