Photos from Prince Midnight’s Tampa show featuring the Lars Ulrich toilet

On Friday night, Tampa rock star gone viral, Prince Midnight, made his live debut backed by a four-piece backing band, the Searing Torment. While Midnight’s Skelecaster—an electric guitar made from the bones of his late Uncle Philip—was there, it wasn’t played. That didn’t stop those in attendance at Brass Mug—one of the last remaining rock clubs in Tampa Bay—from crowding around the stage to be immersed in an elaborate performance that included a coffin entrance, large-scale puppets, gore and magic.

To top it all off, the men’s room at the Mug was converted into a museum all centered around the installation of Midnight’s handcrafted, fiberglass Lars Ulrich toilet, which has captured the hearts of the internet. No word on whether or not anyone left a turd inside of Lars, but plenty of folks took a leak on the loo and admired the fine art toilet seats that were also part of the exhibition.
