Beloved Bay area punk promoter Chewy Hemphill (aka Savage Beat) welcomes back Off With Their Heads for a Tampa concert at Hooch and Hive on Thursday, Sept. 22.

The group—a favorite of Florida punk-rock bacchanal The Fest—released acoustic and live albums in 2020 was supposed to play Crowbar last year, but ended up canceling when the Delta variant surged in the free state of Florida.

“Even though I believe most people that come to the shows are vaccinated, we don’t want to head to an area that is struggling with hospital capacity,” the band wrote at the time.

We’ve lost track of which coronavirus strain the Sunshine State is on these days, but you’re going to kick yourself in the crotch if you miss this headlining set preceded by Busy Weather, a self-professed purveyor of “muppet punk and goblin pop,” plus local favorites Rutterkin and City Mouse.
