It’s getting loud at St. Pete’s Wild Roots plant shop and event space this weekend. Rutterkin headlines on Friday with punk rock, and St. Pete’s Broken Things clocks in with its more melodic and indie-tinged rock. Friendly Fire brings an ‘80s indie/’90s punk flavor to the bill rounded out by Critical Hits which has the most straightforward take on rock and roll on this bill.
The all-ages show claims “no jerks” allowed, which I’ll assume means wear a mask if you can’t socially distance and especially if you’re not vaccinated, for some reason. The venue has a curfew of 10 p.m., so you’ll have plenty of time to get a good night’s sleep or hit another show if you’re energetic. If loud ain’t your thing, check out the store’s upcoming event “Air Plants and Astrology Workshop” on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
