Ruth Eckerd Hall is the first large scale venue to really figure out socially-distant concerts (thanks to low key grand lobby concerts at Ruth Eckerd), and Tampa Bay expat Mindi Abair is coming to get in on the fun.
The sought-after saxophonist just announced three public shows set to take place on August 27, August 29 and August 30 at Ruth Eckerd Hall’s Kate Tiedemann And Ellen Cotton Cabaret Theatre.
A Friday, August 28 performance will be an exclusive members-only private event.
“Audiences say they really miss live music and want to come if the environment feels safe, which is our top priority,” Susan Crockett, Ruth Eckerd Hall President & CEO, said in a release. “Our guests for our first Cabaret series really enjoyed themselves and raved about the space. This time we’re jazzing it up with another friend of Ruth Eckerd Hall, the amazingly talented Mindi Abair.”
A table reservation is required for Abair’s show where she’ll be joined by CL 30-under-30 local musician Kyle Schroeder. Reservations cost $120 and includes admission to the purchaser and up to three guests, a charcuterie tray and tableside service. Tickets go on sale starting Fri. July 10 at 10 a.m. EDT.
