Damiyr Shuford songs like “My Prayer” and “Hei Ja” are quiet meditations that might not have resonated during his years busking in New York City subways, but the 41-year-old has come out from the underground in a way.

The Sedona songwriter—cut by judges in the early phases of America’s Got Talent Season 14—plays a more intimate, booze-free, space in the Bay area this week.

It’s a $20-$30 donation when Damiyr plays Sacred Space in Tampa on Friday, July 11.
