Juan Zaballa is back in town and taller than ever.

The 36-year-old better known as Tall Juan arrives at this Seminole Heights record shop gig still riding high on 2024’s Racoon Nights where he’s traded the Latin flavor from his last outing Tall Juan Plays Cumbia for dizzying, dance-floor-ready psych-pop driven by synths and programmed beats that juxtapose to hard times he details in songs like “My Only Friend” “Bring Him Back.”

Tickets to see Tall Juan play Microgroove in Tampa on Friday, May 2 are still available and start at $10.
