Power metal cannot be the genre that it is today if Kamelot does not exist. The homegrown outfit arrived in the mid-’90s and approached metal as art (albeit, very loud and fast art), which allowed successors to take the same approach. The group brings that sound — which is progressive, industrial and symphonic all at once — to Jannus Live for a hometown show where Sonata Arctica and Battle Beast warm up the crowd.
