A hybrid style of Cuban music (timba, which combines funk and R&B with salsa and Afro-Cuban folk music) meets sounds from the Dominican Republic (merengue) and Latin Coney Island when Timbalive, New York’s Oro Solido and New Jersey pop singer Frankie Negron hit downtown Tampa’s Perry Harvey Sr. Park for the Viva Tampa Bay Hispanic Heritage Festival. The party starts at 11 a.m. and goes to until 8 p.m; kids five years old and under are free, but the rest of us have to pay $5 to get in. Yes, there will be Hispanic food.
