Michael “Comers” Coomer (vocals/guitars/drums) and Curtis O’Mara (also, vocals/guitars/drums), are from Tucson; Jose Boyer (bass) hails from North Carolina. The trio is actually called Harlem; they are now based in Austin.
The band formed in 2007 in Nashville, where they released their first lp, Free Drugs ;- ) (not sure why they included the emoticon to the end if the title). Soon after, the band was “blacklisted in Nashville for getting into fights with all the kids who played music there” (not sure if that’s true, but its what I’ve read).
