Intoxicated
A hellish mixture of central Florida’s heaviest bands is in Sulphur Springs' Born Free Pub & Grill for a metal concert on Friday, Sept. 23.

Visitors include Gainesville’s Pez, plus thrashy Orlando-based headliner Intoxicated, playing in support of a new album, Watch You Burn, released in June. The effort is a groove-heavy throwback to the band’s ‘90s-era heyday, and a nod to the death metal that made Tampa famous (Obituary) plus classic metal bands like Slayer.

Tampa grindcore band Collapsor rounds things out at Born Free Pub alongside a set from scene newb and supergroup, Heaven’s Gate. Not to be confused with the German band from the ‘80s, this Heaven’s Gate is a Florida metal-crossover fantasy featuring members of Cannibal Corpse, Municipal Waste, Warthog and Reversal of Man.
