Knockout Kid w/Settle Your Scores Chicago quintet Knockout Kid plies pop-punk with heavy ‘core qualities, pitting robust multi-voice choruses that are roared, shouted or sung against complex instrumental passages and breakdowns. “Going, Going, Gone” -- the first single off new Manic LP -- follows this formula; guitarist Jake Fuerst told Substream Magazine, “The lyrics, aside from partying, reflect our outlook on past mistakes and a readiness to move on to the future.” Listen to it below.
