Mexican psych-rock band Santoros arrives at Tampa’s Microgroove

They’ve got Scott Yoder with ‘em, too.

These fucking Mexicans (from California) with their badass brand of garage-ready, psychedelic surf-rock. Why do they have to come to Tampa to rock the record store so hard? And why are they bringing Seattle songwriter Scott Yoder to support his damaged, noisy and sorta-gorgeous 2018 solo album A Fool Aloof? Lastly, why does it only cost $7 to go to a great Thursday-night show happening in the backyard of every Seminole Heights resident who believes they’re cooler than their friends who opted for a life in the ‘burbs?

Santoros w/Scott Yoder/Blestian. Thurs. Sept. 6, 7 p.m. $7-$10. Microgroove, 4906 N. Florida Ave., Tampa. ticketfly.com.
