Jack White told Rolling Stone that we can expect a new Dead Weather album early next year. You should also expect White to create another band sometime around then, because he's only in about 50 right now.

Stone Temple Pilots have decided to postpone their tour in order to finish their upcoming record. Or maybe lead vocalist Scott Weiland could suck it up and go crawling back to Velvet Revolver. Please?

Alice in Chains has announced dates for their 2010 North American tour. Songs included on their setlist are classic jams as well as tunes from Black Gives Way to Blue, the band's first studio album in 14 years. Alice in Chains is just going to keep on playing — you know they ain't gonna die.

Daft Punk also has rumored U.S. tour dates for next year. If they're going to be traveling "Around the World," they sure as hell ought to make a stop in the States.

Susan Boyle's upcoming debut, I Dreamed a Dream, has become the most pre-ordered CD in the history of Amazon.com. It's just one more thing for Simon Cowell to throw in Paula Abdul's face.

Chris Brown has received an "extremely favorable" report from probation officials overseeing his assault case. Or maybe he just made a couple of threats to get some good press, because I'm still convinced this guy is an "extreme" tool.

Jason Segel — yeah, that funny guy whose nether-region you saw repeatedly in Forgetting Sarah Marshall — joined folk rockers the Swell Season onstage in LA this week for a comically musical turn on the piano. Check out the video below if you want his phone number! (Seriously!)

Green Day has hit the studio to re-record 21 Guns with the cast of the American Idiot musical, and also plan to shoot a new video to accompany it. This could be the next big hit on Glee.

Jennifer Lopez has released her new single, "Louboutins," which she will be performing at the American Music Awards Sunday. Her stilettos were made for walking, and she wants you to know about it.

Eminem is pushing back his Relapse 2 album to a 2010 release date, but on Dec. 21 will re-release his fifth studio record as Relapse: Refill with seven bonus tracks. If I had to have some sort of relapse, I'd be stoked to have Slim Shady by my side.

Paul McCartney joins Ringo Starr for a duet on Starr's forthcoming album, Y Not. Ringo + Macca + new song = something that everyone will listen to and support because nobody talks shit about the Beatles.

The ninth annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will be taking place June 10 - 13 next summer in Manchester, Tenn. Those are also the only dates in 2010 when I will actually wish to be in Tennessee.
