Rhythms Del Mundo, Rhythms Del Mundo: Africa (The End Records) Rhythms Del Mundo: Africa is the latest project from Artists Project Earth (APE) and is made up of contemporary hits like REM's "Losing My Religion" and "I Need a Dollar" by Aloe Blacc as re-imagined by high profile western and African musicians. APE travelled to Mali to record African musicians, Toumani Diabaté, Bassekou Kouyate, Ali Farka Touré Band, and Rokia Traoré. Sessions also took place in Kenya, South Africa and Swaziland. Members of Miriam Makeba’s band and Senegalese musicians also added their brilliant musicianship to the collaborative tracks.
