Tonight in live music: Fevers Album Release Party, Big Pre-Fest in Little Ybor Day 2

The concert breakdown for Thurs., Oct. 29.

Here's a few shows happening this Thurs., Oct. 29.

Fright Night: Fevers Album Release Party with Permanent Makeup, Snakehole
You don’t have to wait for Saturday to get some treats, and if you head to The Bends in St. Pete tonight, then Fevers is guaranteed to serve you an impressively abrasive, grind-tastic platter of dizzying weird ass, ear-busting noise rock. They celebrate a new album Febriphobia tonight (definition: the intense, irrational fear of fever or of any rise in body temperature), and it’s a nine-minute, 8-track frantic collection of songs guaranteed to split your head in half. (The Bends, St. Petersburg) —Ray Roa

Big Pre-Fest in Little Ybor 3 with Lagwagon, Teenage Bottlerocket, Riverboat Gamblers, Tim Barry, Bad Cop Bad Cop, Shallow Cuts, Masked Intruder, The Copyrights, Mustard Plug, Off With Their Heads & many more The two-day musical extravaganza that serves as a pre-party warm-up to Gainseville’s Fest sees some big name favorites on its second day (see above). Other highlights amid the more than 40 scheduled to play include Underground Railroad to Candyland, a San Pedro, Calif., outfit that makes infectious, jangly garage-punk with surprising melodic punch; Philadelphia’s Beach Slang, their driving rock sound tinged in post-wave flavor; and The Girls!, from Columbus, Ohio, their bright big beat power pop piloted by the sultry commanding vocals and guitar work of frontwoman Jessica Wabbit. (Various Venues, Ybor City)—Leilani Polk
