Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo If love is a battlefield, then Pat Benatar must be the all time champ, since her partnership with guitarist/producer/husband Neil Giraldo has lasted more than three decades and through a dozen albums since the 1979 debut that put her on the charts with “Heartbreaker.” The powerhouse couple dole out all the expected hits (“Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” “We Belong,” “Invincible” – remember The Legend of Billie Jean?) along with trademark covers like John Mellancamp’s “I Need a Lover” and “Helter Skelter” by The Beatles.
