Get your balls ready, St. Petersburg. According to plans submitted to Southwest Florida Water Management District, Topgolf could be headed to Carillon Parkway.

The 12-acre site is between Transamerica, which owns the property, and Catalina Marketing Corp. TBBJ added that Topgolf’s proposed 67,521-square-foot facility would also be home to a high-tech driving range and a nearly 4,000-square-foot restaurant. Golfers and non-golfers alike are welcome at the chain’s more than 50 locations nationwide.

Topgolf already has a location in Brandon and two in Orlando. The three-story driving ranges are wildly popular with folks who have the dough to chill in air-conditioned hitting bays and whip golf balls into electronic scoring areas all while noshing on breakfast fare (burritos, french toast, acai bowls), brunch (hello, hot mess waffle fries with pulled pork and jalapeno) and bar fare (wings, pizza). Some locations even have Impossible Burgers.

There’s no timetable on the project, but Myrtle Beach’s recent Topgolf facility took nearly two years of planning and construction.
