A sadistic or just plain stupid transportation engineer decided that cars count and people are completely expendable when designing this Tampa shopping plaza on Dale Mabry just off I-275. Home to Whole Foods, Target, Nordstrom Rack, and Total Wine & More, the complex is collectively and laughably known as Walter’s Crossing — laughable because pedestrians who dare to cross from Target to Total Wine literally risk dying for a discount. Blind corners, merging lanes, no sidewalks, no signage — Walter’s Crossing is a walker’s nightmare.
