Anyway, love to chat sports with you, but we're 15 days from an election! Early voting commences today, and so do more campaign ads. David Axelrod was back on the telly yesterday bemoaning the fact that so much of that campaign cash is coming from anonymous sources, and his argument seems to be working better than last week's attack against foreign donations going into the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's coffers.
The House District 60 race between Republican Shawn Harrison and Democrat Russ Patterson should be a close one. We were interested, to say the least, when we noticed that Harrison has expensed more than 150 meals from his campaign contributions.
Dan Gelber and Pam Bondi will engage in what may be the only debate anybody sees between the two candidates for Attorney General tonight, on a tape-delayed encounter the two had over the weekend. CL caught up with Gelber on Friday, where he talked about several different issues going on with the campaign.
And Democrat Nina Hayden is a decided underdog against Republican Jack Latvala in the state Senate District 16 race. But she's taking exception to the St. Pete Times endorsement of her opponent that didn't get the facts straight about her candidacy.
