Philip Levine, one of four Democrats running for that soon-to-be-open gig in the Governor's Mansion and former mayor of Miami Beach, will be stumping in Tampa today at three different locations, starting right after lunch.

At 1 p.m. the candidate takes part in a Hillsborough County Roundtable Discussion with the Alliance for Public Schools at the Hillsborough County Children's Board, located at 1002 E. Palm Ave. in Ybor City. Next, he'll join a conversation with local Hispanic business leaders at 2:30; that takes place at the Centro de Ayuda Hispano's Tampa office, 3434 W. Columbus Drive. And finally, Levine will appear at the conference for the Florida chapter of the National Organization of Women, happening at the Marriott Westshore; he's scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Levine, who's a big fan of home rule, fighting preemption by the state legislature and raising the minimum wage, has recently risen to become the most popular Democratic candidate in he field.
