This afternoon, Tampa International Airport announced new non-stop flight service to Savannah, Georgia, which means visiting Forsyth Park and Paula Dean’s restaurant will no longer require a seven-hour drive through rural Central Florida.

The twice weekly flights, from Fort Lauderdale-based Silver Airways, will begin April 2 and connect to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, according to TPA.

As of now, the flights appear to be an hour and a half long, and a roundtrip ticket starts at $92.

Anti-maskers beware, Savannah has a citywide mask mandate
