Eckerd College - Taking Urban Agriculture on the Road (Truck Farm): Thursday, February 23; 7 p.m.
This film features a 1986 Dodge pick-up truck with an actual miniature farm planted in the truck's bed. This truck farm has "fueled" a movement of truck farms among the US...twenty-five and counting, so far. Truck Farm is just one of the featured films in Eckerd College's fourteenth annual Visions of Nature/Voices of Nature Environmental Film Festival. Eckerd College - Ethnomusicology and Ecology in Africa (OKA!): Friday, February 24: 7 p.m.
This is another featured film in of Eckerd College's fourteenth annual Visions of Nature/Voices of Nature Environmental Film Festival. In this film, a New Jersey ethnomusicologist answers his calling to help the Bayaka people of Central African Republic. Although he is plagued with a fever, he continues his mission and battle with the forces of nature. Eckerd College - Aldo Leopold and the Land Ethic (Green Fire): Saturday, February 25; 7 p.m.
This is the featured film for the Saturday installment of Eckerd College's fourteenth annual Visions of Nature/Voices of Nature Environmental Film Festival. It pays tribute to Leopold's legacy, and explores his personal journey. The film was created by Aldo Leopold Foundation, Center for Humans and Nature and US Forest Service. Sacred Grounds Coffee House - Vegan Cooking: Saturday, February 25; 5:30 p.m.
Get the "101" on vegan eating at this Intro to Vegan Eating class. Learn what a typical day of eating is like for the average vegan. Corey Avenue Sunday Market - Tampa Bay Lightening Truck: Sunday, February 26; 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
See Tampa Bay Lightning's official truck, Rolling Thunder, at Corey Avenue Sunday Market! Win Lightening-related prizes and get your picture taken with a special Lightening background on its own green screen. Americanweiner and Mr. Empanada food trucks will be parked at the market as well. Matthews Wildlife Rescue will also make an appearance, so check them out. Then, shop for fruits and vegetables, flowers and plants, kettle corn, arts and crafts, while enjoying live music by Eddie James (Tropical Tunes). Also, check out new green business, Skyline Trading (consignment shop), at 344 Corey Avenue. Corey Avenue will be blocked off for a safe shopping experience at the market. Guided Hike at Brooker Creek Preserve: Saturdays; 9 a.m-11 a.m.
Take a walk through time each Saturday morning on a guided hike along the Education Center Trail. Observe how the land has changed over time and discuss the ecological footprints left by those changes during this 0.75 mile hike. Sturdy closed-toe shoes are a must, and water and a hat are recommended. Pre-registration is required by noon on the Friday before the hike of your choice. This event is free. Guided Hike at Weedon Island Preserve: Saturdays; 9a.m.-11 a.m.
Guided hikes through coastal mangrove and upland ecosystems of the Preserve are held on most Saturdays of the month. Learn about the coastal environment and the early residents of Weedon Island Preserve. Be sure to bring water and a snack for this 2-hour hike. A hat and closed-toe shoes are also recommended. Pre-registration is required by 2 p.m. on the Friday prior to the tour of choice (pre-registration is required). This event is free and open to the public. Recommended ages: 6 and up. Dunedin Green Market: Fridays; 8 a.m.-1p.m.; Saturdays; 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Enjoy a craft show, in addition to the usual market highlights of fresh, local produced goods such as baked good, ready-to-eat-foods, organic plants and herbs, coffee, honey, seafood and clothing. Dunedin Green Market is located in Pioneer Park at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Main Street in Downtown Dunedin.

Land O Lakes Saturday Market: Saturdays (through May); 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
The Land O Lakes Saturday Market is a weekly community event with live music. The market donates profits to the Heritage Park Foundation and the Suncoast Harvest Food Bank.
