Dr. Hamid E. Ali is an adjunct economics professor at Southern Methodist University. He's also a Darfur native and the co-founder of the Darfur Working Group (DWG), a U.S.-based umbrella organization that coordinates Darfurian organizations in the United States with field organizations and leaders. Dr. Ali has been involved in the Darfur crisis for the past four years and lectures at university campuses across the country in addition to addressing policy makers on issues related to Darfur.
