In wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, members of the Pasco County Democrats plan to protest this Saturday, July 2.
From 9:45 a.m.-noon, participants are invited to bring their "signs" and "voices" to the intersection of Little Road and FL-54 near New Port Richey.
"Some of us remember what it was like before Roe," the
event's announcement reads. "We cannot go back! We will not go back!"
This will be the second protest held by the Pasco County Democrats in protest of the recent SCOTUS decision after quickly organizing on the corner of Little Road and Citizens Drive last Friday.
According to the
Pasco County Democrats' website, "It is expected that further action will take place in the future."
This protest will follow multiple days of rallies across the state, including
three in the Tampa Bay area so far with more to be expected.
