This past weekend, 4th Street in St. Pete welcomed a new business that's a few shades greener than the rest: Suncoast Electric Vehicles. They're not only the first all-electric car dealership in the Tampa Bay area, but also first in the state.
The EV dealership, located on 4th Street North and 24th Ave. North, is owned by father-son team, Dick and Jonathan Nimphie. The Wheego vehicles currently available at the dealership are for neighborhood use and are both gas- and emissions-free. Their next line of vehicles will be able to go on the interstate and will run 100 miles before needing to be recharged.
