Hey politically-conscious procrastinators, the time to register to vote is nigh.

Tuesday, Oct. 11 is the last day to register to vote for next month’s general elections, where Floridians will cast their ballots for The Sunshine State’s U.S. Senate and House representatives, Governor, state Supreme Court, local measures and more.

The easiest way to register is online via Florida’s election website, where you can also update your current registration or double check information. Folks can also register via snail mail, as long as the date marked on your letter to the Supervisor of Elections office is Oct. 11 at the latest, or at your local Florida driver license office, tax collector or voter registration agency.
To be eligible to register to vote, you must be a citizen of the U.S., a legal resident in Florida and reside in the county that you’re registering in—as the rest of the guidelines are listed on the state election website.

To submit an online application, you’ll need a Florida driver’s license or ID card, the issued date of said identification, and the last four digits of your social security number. You can also update your registration information through the Supervisor of Elections website at any time.

Voting on Nov. 8 can take place in person (or before that at select early voting locations), or by mail before Monday, Sept.  24.

To check out all of the polling places in your county and confirm your voter precinct, head to dos.myflorida.com. And make sure to keep an eye out on cltampa.com, where we’ll post endorsements and recommendations  as Florida’s general election nears closer.
