It’s been two years since the release of her debut EP, and Sarah Morey is back with another extended player — Dust — which she released on June 1. Written almost entirely by the young Bay area songwriter, the effort features upbeat love songs (“Until I Met You”), breakup tunes (“Stains,” a track co-written with Jacob Fleming, who plays banjo and piano elsewhere on Dust), reflections of divorce (the title track) and even forbidden love (“No Good”). “Broken Hallelujah” is about coming to terms with situations that don’t go your way. Morey will celebrate the release at this listening room show where Eric Yoder plays support.
