Yesterday, Elevenses announced that its debut storefront will open at 1001 E Columbus Dr. in V.M. Ybor.
"This has been a dream that I never knew if it would be achievable, but we found this space and fell in love and decided to take a leap of faith,” Elevenses owner Jade Yelvington said on Instagram. “Cannot wait until it’s finished and we can open up our new home to all of your beautiful faces!”
Although an opening date isn't set in stone, Yelvington told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that she's aiming for an early 2023 debut.
Just a short scroll through its Instagram shows that the minds behind Elevenses can whip up any sweet treat imaginable from macarons and cookies to custom order cakes, cinnamon rolls, brownies and pies. Because construction is still finishing up on her storefront, Yelvington currently bakes out of Chocolate Pi, a Seminole Heights cafe and bakery that her mother, Kim Yelvington, owns and operates.
A barista and veteran with years in the service industry, Jade Yelvington prides herself in finding the balance between nostalgic homemade desserts and unique flavor combinations. In addition to its popular baked goods, Elevenses is also known for its colorful "cloud lattes," which consist of espresso layered between flavored milk bases.
There’s only a few more slots to place Thanksgiving orders if you’re interested in getting a sneak peek of the bakery's treats ahead of its grand opening. Tampa folks that order baked goods from Elevenses can pick them up at its soon-to-open bakery, while St. Pete customers can head to downtown’s Book & Bottle for their orders.
