The Smith Street Band w/Astronautalis Australia may have some of the most twisted environmental issues on the planet, but at least it gave thirsty pop-punk fans The Smith Street Band. The fast-rising quartet is touring in support of what many are calling its best LP to date (the Jeff Rosenstock-helmed More Scared of You Than You Are Of Me), and it’ll be interesting to see if the band — plus once-Jacksonville based emcee Astronautalis — can sell out the relatively small confines of Crowbar on a Sunday night (we’re guessing they will). (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO

Blue Sunday w/DJ Cub/EZ Rob/Catmat DJ Cub (who provided the inspiration for the cover of CL’s recent Music Issue) and his Blue Sunday co-pilot Rob Haskew get one more turn playing all the best alternative and indie on the fabled New World Patio. It’s the end of the world (figuratively), and it doesn’t feel fine at all. (New World Brewery, Ybor City) INFO

Music in the Marly Series w/University of Tampa Faculty Ensemble A bit of downtown Tampa slides into St. Pete when pianist Grigorios Zamparas brings fellow University of Tampa musicians (flutist Barbara Prescott, oboe player Meg Cassell and Theodore DeCorso on clarinet) to play the music of Franz Danzi, Gabriel Fauré and Jacque at the MFA. Ol’ Dirty Sundays w/Tony Touch/SoniWithAnEye Mr. Toca Tuesdays makes what’s becoming an annual trip to Ol’ Dirty Sundays where he’ll turn the Ybor City courtyard into a veritable Big Apple funkbox by spinning the kind of old-school hip-hop and soul that made his 50 MCs mixtapes famous decades ago. Build It Back Benefit w/4X/Peace of Woodstock/Solar Exposure/Stonegrey Sinkholes are the pits. Especially when they swallow your property. That’s pretty much what happened to local music supporters Steve and Vonnie Jakubiec, so a few of the couple’s favorite bands are having a show under the Skipperdome to help raise a little money to help the Jakubiecs rebuild. Raffles and a silent auction should fatten up the pot, too. (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa) INFO
