Stevie Nicks has postponed her upcoming Florida concert dates after sustaining a fractured shoulder, pushing her Tampa and Hollywood shows from late-summer to early-December.
Tampa’s show was originally scheduled for Aug. 30, but since her injury, the date has been rescheduled to Dec. 7. Hollywood, Florida’s date on Sept. 3 will be rescheduled for Dec. 10.
Tickets affected by the rescheduled dates will be honored with the new rescheduled date, according to Nicks’ website.
Previously-announced October dates remain unaffected.
While the 77-year-old singer has kept details of the injury private, fans are wishing her well and are eager for her comeback as she prepares to return to the stage in October.
Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are set to reissue their debut album Buckingham Nicks this September, reigniting excitement around the iconic duo’s early work. The reissue of their 1973 album is due Sept. 19 and includes a new song, “Crying in the Night.”
The two were an on-again-off-again couple during and after Fleetwood Mac ended. The two dated from 1972-1976, and didn’t know if they were going to make music again after their split.
Stevie Nicks’ first show after recovery will take place on Oct. 1 in Portland, Oregon.
Tickets to see Stevie Nicks play Amalie Arena in Tampa on Sunday, Dec. 7 are still available and start at $201. [event-1] Readers are invited to submit their own events to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay’s things to do calendar.
