Still kicking yourself about not going to see Van Halenโ€™s reunion tour in 2015? Itโ€™s gonna take awhile to get over, but if itโ€™s any consolation, the late guitar godโ€™s son Wolfgangโ€”who slapped da bass for the last few years of the bandโ€™s existenceโ€”has started his own solo project, which already got the opportunity to open for certain dates on Guns Nโ€™ Rosesโ€™ comeback-from-COVID tour in 2021.

Wolfgang Van Halen is currently in the process of making his sophomore album under the Mammoth WVH moniker, but in the meantime, he opens for Alter Bridgeโ€™s current tourโ€”centered around its latest album, Pawns & Kingsโ€”which kicks off at a very sold-out Hard Rock Event Center before heading to Orlando for a homecoming gig.

Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth WVH opens for Alter Bridge at Hard Rock Event Center in Tampa on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
