Youโ€™re not going to hear Jakob Dylan talk about dad at all this weekend (heโ€™s his own musician for shitโ€™s sake), but in between tracks from The Wallflowers‘ latest album, 2021โ€™s Exit Wounds, you might learn a thing or two about the Laurel Canyon music scene of the early-1960s.

In 2018, Dylan hosted โ€œEcho in the Canyon,โ€ a documentary centered around said scene, with interviews from Brian Wilson, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and in his final filmed interview before his death, Tom Petty.

The 54-year-old also sang leads on the filmโ€™s soundtrack, made up entirely of covers and featuring a little help from interviewees Beck, Neil Young, and Fiona Apple.

Tickets to see The Wallflowers play Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater on Sunday, April 28 are still available and start at $49.50.
